About.
During my time at Cover Genius, I was responsible for creating travel and event guidebooks used for major partner off-sites and international sporting events, including the UEFA Champions League, Singapore Grand Prix, Rugby finals and the US Open. The goal was to produce clear, visually consistent guides that partners could use while travelling, while maintaining strong alignment with the company’s brand standards.
Deliverables.
I designed the guidebooks using Cover Genius' extensive illustration kit, creating a reusable template that could be adapted for different events and themes. This included establishing illustration styles within the Cover Genius kit, colour treatments, background gradients and page structures that could scale across multiple briefs.
Key responsibilities included:
Designing complete guidebooks from initial layout through to final artwork
Establishing a consistent template for future guides to streamline production
Creating and sourcing custom illustrations and event-specific graphics
Applying and maintaining Cover Genius brand guidelines across all pages
Working in Figma for design and layout, with final artwork exported and refined in Illustrator
Collaborating with the design team to refine hierarchy, spacing and readability
Results.
The final guidebooks delivered a experience that partners could use across multiple international events. The template system reduced production time for future briefs and ensured consistent visual quality for all off-site materials. The custom illustrations and branded graphics helped tie each guide to its event while staying true to the broader XCover and Cover Genius visual identity.
